TREATS FOR SOLDIERS, INC. was started by Claire Poole in 2005 "to help make being in Iraq and Afghanistan a little bit better for our military - even for a day or two". Every week she prepares and sends packages to American servicemen and women overseas.

Claire says, "When some are out in the middle of nowhere, it's tough to find everyday items such as toothpaste & toothbrushes, hairbrushes, combs, bandanas, socks, sunscreen, peanut butter and more. That's why it's so very important for me to put them in each package".

She knows exactly what to put in her packages, and does the shopping, sorting, packing, labeling and shipping herself.

And this task is certainly worth the effort. In the words of one of our grateful soldiers, "It's great to come to work and find a box waiting for me to open. Thank you from the bottom of my heart".
